Goodbye California, Hello...

Today is a very exciting day because I am finally getting to share some news that we've been holding in for a little while!

We have officially moved to Houston!

This decision was one that we have put a lot of thought and care into. As you may know, I grew up in Houston and Josh grew up next door (state-wise) in Louisiana.

As we felt God leading us to pursue other things and left San Diego, we knew that wherever we would end up would have to be closer to our parents, who both still live in the South. We have dreams of having our own family (one day!) and knew that living thousands of miles away from our parents would not be good. We want our children to grow up close to their grandparents, and having some extra support wouldn't hurt either!

There are countless other reasons for why we chose Houston such as: the community (we already have friends here!), the food (so good!), the big city vibes with country suburbs, the unique, eclectic areas, the shopping, the housing market, the lower cost of living, grocery stores and movie theaters bigger than Walmart (HEB I'm looking at you), and the diversity.

But most importantly: we truly feel like God placed his own bright red pin on the map and it landed right on Houston. It would take a book to write down all of the reasons we feel God has led us here, but just know that this decision is a result of many, many, many months of prayer.

We've moved into our rental (we plan to rent for a year before we purchase our first home!) and I'm excited to decorate it like it's our own. Expect some home decor posts coming to the blog soon!

We are so excited to begin this new journey and can't wait to see what God has in store.

With Grace,
